Gazprom neft Badra is the operating company at Badra production site (Iraq). The company has carried out one of the largest shipments throughout its entire history. Oil export was directed to the USA. The shipment volume totalled 1 780 000 barrels. The cargo was exported by New Solution tanker.
It is noteworthy that the company had shipped to the USA before. 12 shipments had been exported to Europe and APR refineries earlier as well.
Oil is supplied to the Russian company by the Iraqi SOMO for the compensation of Badra field development costs.
As a reminder, the agreement with Iraq for project development was signed about seven years ago. Contract terms stipulate for investors’ cost reimbursement, and further return as of $5,5 per barrel.
